Austlen set out to create a stroller unlike any other—the "Swiss Army knife" of strollers—with over 30 configurations and ultra-fast one-second expansion. Coming to us with only a prototype and the Austlen name, they had a big task: they needed to introduce their brand into a crowded marketplace, position themselves as a completely new and innovative family solution, and jumpstart sales.
They brought us on to develop a full brand identity, packaging, website, and product design system built from scratch. But as we dug in, it became clear they needed something bigger—a complete brand experience that honored who their customers really were. The initial stroller design felt toy-like in gray and lime green, lacking the warmth and aspiration modern parents expected. The goals were clear but ambitious:
- Elevate the product design itself—working with their team to refine styling, materials, and overall aesthetic into a premium offering that felt like a lifestyle accessory, not a utility item.
- Named the product "The Entourage" to capture families who carry everything everywhere—sports games, picnics, travel, everyday errands.
- Build a cohesive brand system across product, packaging, website, and marketing that worked seamlessly at every touchpoint.
- Direct a large-scale photo and video shoot showcasing real moments—loading up for soccer practice, strolling through the farmers market, packing for a trip—to bring the brand's promise to life in authentic, relatable ways.
