For Good arrived as Full Circle's sister brand with a clear mission: bring compostable, plant-based kitchen essentials into everyday households. They'd developed trash bags, wraps, and other staples designed to reduce plastic without compromising convenience or performance. The products worked—and they had a story worth telling. The opportunity was to build a brand that could own a unique space by combining measurable impact, a give-back program, personality that didn't feel "brown and boring," and genuinely sustainable products.
Full Circle tasked us with building the For Good brand identity from scratch—logo, packaging system, messaging, the works—in a way that clearly expressed its environmental mission while staying fresh, fun, and approachable. The challenge was to:
- Design a logo that felt modern and friendly, not preachy. We used a globe within the second "o" of "good" to anchor the visual identity and signal the brand's global impact.
- Create a unique visual style (rich teal, pastel accents, cream backgrounds) that avoided the typical "craft green" cliché dominating the sustainable products aisle—because sustainable doesn't have to look like it came from a farmers market.
- Develop a character (hello, Earth Cyclops) to bring warmth, personality, and charm to the messaging—making sustainability feel less serious, more human, and a lot more fun.
- Build a packaging system that clearly communicated product type (compostable wrap, bags, etc.), highlighted measurable impact, and aligned with Full Circle's "Rethink Plastic" initiative—all while educating consumers on how and why these products perform.
- Incorporate the give-back program and measurability as key differentiators, tying into the "take less, give more" theme and making the impact tangible (not fluffy).
- Ensure visual consistency across For Good and Full Circle sister-brands by using the same circular arrow icon, tying the sister brands together without losing their individual identities.
